Stuffed Sour Bitter Melons

So about last night... I made some Stuffed Karelas (Bitter Melons). In our society (Pakistani) cooking them is considered a very tough task and I decided to cook them. Since a year I turned vegetarian I didn't eat them. I wanted them so bad. So, with my own 16 year old mind I thought to make up my own recipe and cook them. But DAng! I forgot to snap a picture! Here is what I did:

Ingredients For Stuffing:

  • 1 Medium Potato (Cut into small pieces and boiled)
  • 2 Medium Tomatoes
  • 1 Tsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 2 Tsp Tamarind Paste
  • 2 Cubes Cheese
  • 4 pinches Red Chilli Pepper Powder

Directions for Stuffing:

  1. Add Olive Oil in a pan and add potatoes and tomatoes in it.
  2. Add Salt, Garic Powder, Tamarind, Red Chilli Pepper Powder and Cheese.
  3. Stir and mash the potatoes.
  4. Stir for 5 minutes and add water if neccessary.
  5. Remove from fire and let cool.

Ingredients for Karelas (Bitter Melon):

  • 5 - 6 Medium Karele (Bitter Melon) - peeled, with a 3 inch cut so we be ble to stuff it, seeds taken out.
  • 2 Large Onions (Chopped)
  • 1 Cup youghurt.
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1/4 Tsp Curry powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Red Chilli Pepper
  • 4 Tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 cup water

Directions:

  1. Add the stuffing to karelas and tie them with thread.
  2. Fry them in 2 Tbsp oil until yellow-green.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Add 2 Tbsp Oil in a cooking bowl and add onions in it.
  5. Add salt, curry powder, red chilli pepper and the remaining stuffing in it with 1/2 cup water.
  6. Cover and cook until water is reduced to almost no water.
  7. Add yoghurt and stir.
  8. Add 1/2 cup water.
  9. Add karelas and cover and cook until the desired thickness of the masala.
  10. Serve with roti bread or buns or spoons ;)

DON'T EAT THE THREAD :D

They were heck tasty and sexy!

The Cancer Woman's Kitchen - Onion and Tomato with Scrambled Eggs

So, this noon I was hungry and my sister didn't cook anything (for reasons I don't know of haha). My mom had cooked fish which I don't eat because I'm vegetarian and the vegetarian dish which my mom cooked was potatoes, the ones which we stuff in Masala Dosa and I hate those. They are the main reason I hate Masala Dosa.
Try if you like them :

A thought striked me of cooking something for myself. I didn't cook ANYTHING since the previous year's July! Whoa! I don't know how but my Inner Cancer Cook was dead. Even if I felt hungry I chose any of the three options:
1) Let go.
2) Have a snack instead of any meal.
3) SISTER....! Cook me something!
Then I was filled with courage and forced by my recently re-constructed Cancer Cook to go and cook something for me. So here is what I did:

ONION AND TOMATO WITH SCRAMBLED EGGS

Difficulty:
1/5

Servings:
2 small bowls

Ingredients:

1 Medium Onion
2 Large Tomatoes
1 Egg
1/2 TspSalt
1/4 Tsp Powdered Red Chilli Pepper
2 Pinches sweet or any Paprika
1/2 Tsp Garlic Poweder
1/2 Cup Water
2 Tbsp Olive Oil

Directions:

  1. Finely chop the onion and tomatoes.
  2. Add 1 tbsp Olive Oil in a pan and add the chopped Onion in it.
  3. Add Salt, Red Chilli Pepper, Paprika, Garlic Powder and Water.
  4. Cook until the Onions achieve a state of being semi transparent.
  5. Add Tomatoes and stir after every 10 seconds.
  6. Cook for 3-5 minutes.
  7. Add 1 tbsp Olive Oil in a pan and add the raw egg.
  8. Stir it continuously until it is all broken and scrambled and fully cooked.
  9. Add the scrambled egg as a topping to the Onion and Tomatoes.

It is easy and tasty. You can serve it with roti, bread, in a sandwich or anything you like.

Love,

xx

The Cancer Woman's Kitchen

WELCOME!
Amorous Salaam!

I'm Sehrish, Sehrish Meraj and this is my blog in which I will share with you my passion of cooking. 80% women love cooking and this site is for all of them, not only Cancer Women. I believe in astrology and being a Cancerian I love cooking as much as other chores.

It is said that Cancer Women are as juicy as their food and they taste like everything they cook. Many Cancerians love to cook food and eat food. Cancer Women love to cook for their loved ones. The most romantic thing a Cancer Woman could do would be to cook some romantic food for her partner. Men who cook are also a turn on for them. Comfort is gifted by God to her.

So here I am, born on July 22nd and a Cancer Woman who loves to cook and therefore I have created this Blog site to share with you my own recipes or the ones I like and love.

Be sure to check my Blog regularly.
